PSH Museum offers a range of tours to suit everyone’s interests. Please join us on any one of our tours at the Peoria State Hospital. See descriptions of our tours below!
PRIVATE HISTORICAL TOURS
This tour is available on Fridays, 6pm-9pm. $175 for up to 5 people for a 3 hour tour.
• The Peoria State Hospital Historical Tour Guide will lead this tour on a walking route accompanied by historical information.
• The Tour Guide will lead this tour to several different locations including the asylum cemeteries and existing structures.
• The Historical Tour will conclude in the only remaining patients cottage, Cottage B1, where some historical artifacts will be on display.
• Inside of the Cottage's grand room your tour guide will conduct a question & answer segment for any information wanted about the history of the institution.
PUBLIC HISTORY & PARANORMAL TOURS
The History/Paranormal Tours are available FOUR times on the 2026 calendar on Saturday evenings.
This tour begins with the historical portion.
• A sideshow is presented by a PSH Museum Historian
• The tour travels to 4 cemeteries (weather permitting)
• Several historical scenes are preformed by museum actors
• Historical artifacts are on display
• A Q&A with the Museum Director ends the historical portion of the evening.
The Paranormal portion of the tour will begin at that time
• The entire group will be broken into small teams and placed with a paranormal tour guide.
• Teams will investigate several paranormal hotspots on location/grounds/cemeteries.
• Each location has a set amount of time to investigate with tour guide.
• Some paranormal equipment is offered in certain locations.
• This tour ends with a location choice allowing teams to return to their most active location.
If interested in the historical portion of the tour only the ticket price is $20 per person, both historical & paranormal portions of the tour the ticket is $50 per person.
PRIVATE PARANORMAL TOURS

During private paranormal tours,

A brief historical slideshow of the Peoria State Hospital will be shown.

A Historical Tour Guide will take the team on a historical walking tour of paranormal hotspots inside the building and outdoor locations which include the cemeteries.

The investigative team will have access to these locations and a paranormal host guide will be available throughout the tour.

These tours are not to be outsourced, your team should consist of team members only. For the safety of our staff and the historical location having team mates who are familiar to one another reduces chances of unforeseen conflict.

Please know your contact person will be receiving tour information and will be viewed as being in charge of the investigation.

2026 Calendar Start times vary and will be provided with your receipt.

Winter calendar (6pm -11pm) $300 Friday, $350 Saturday. A $200 deposit will be put down and the remaining balance will be due at the beginning of the investigation.

Spring & Summer $400 Friday, $450 Saturday. A $250 dollar deposit will be put down and the remaining balance will be due at the beginning of the investigation.

This price is for up to 5 team members, $100 for each additional team member. 6 hours, $100 each additional hour.
